You can’t see the wind, but you can see how it changes objects. You can’t see unhappiness, but you can see how it changes people. A low becomes a depression, a depression becomes a storm. When you’re unhappy people say “it will all blow over”. There is a calm before the storm, is there one afterwards?
Featuring 7 dancers, a specially composed score by Amarok / Michal Wojtas and scientific input from Dr. David Belin lecturer in behavioural neuroscience at Cambridge University, The Storm will be sure to blow audiences away! The Storm is co-commissioned by Blackpool Grand, Creative Barking and Dagenham, DanceEast, Pavilion Dance South West, Queens Hall Arts, Hexham, The Gulbenkian/Art31, The Place, Swindon Dance, Tanz Ist and Warwick Arts Centre, with support from Arts Council England Grants for The Arts.
